SPECIAL ABILITIES

Agent of Fate (Sp)

A mothman may recreate the effects of any spell of 5th level or lower once per day as a spelllike ability, but only if doing so steers the flow of fate in its proper course. What the proper flow of fate entails is determined by the GM. Typical uses of this ability include casting holographic image V to coax someone to a portentous location, casting mystic cure to return someone with an important fate to life, or using entropic grasp to weaken a structure and cause some necessary calamity.

Mind-Warping Gaze (Su)

Range 30 feet, Will DC 21 negates. A creature that fails its saving throw against this effect becomes shaken for 1d6 rounds. A creature already suffering from a fear effect that fails this saving throw instead takes 1d4 points of Wisdom damage.

This is a mind-affecting fear effect.

ECOLOGY

Environment any land
Organization solitary

The enigmatic mothmen are harbingers of calamity and tragedy. They travel the known worlds in search of disasters to observe. Few ever notice a mothman.

And when they do, they tend to forget the incident, as the mothmen have the ability to modify the memory of other; making them forget the experience. This leaves the humanoids with a sense of deja-vu and often with terrifying dreams of some disastrous event yet to happen.
