Ethereal Shift (Su)

A phase spider can shift from the Ethereal Plane to the Material Plane as a swift action, and shift back (with or without its grappled target) as a move action. This ability is otherwise identical to the ethereal jaunt spell.

Phase Spiders are monstrous arachnid-kin that dwell in the Ethereal Plane. They make quick forays into the Material Plane to snatch an unlucky creatures to feed upon. Those stolen by phase spiders are never seen again and are regarded as unsolved disappearances.

The typical phase spider is 8 feet long and weighs 700 pounds (70 bulk). As their name suggests, they appear to be spiders, but often have strange coloration and patterns on their bodies, similar to Kabuki masks. Rather than a spider head and mandibles, their heads are more like those of a humanoid, sometimes skull-like, while at other times a complete humanoid face.
