Troglodytes are a sub-species of lizardfolk who prefer to dwell in subterranean climates. As their name implies, they are not as evolved as normal lizardfolk; rather, they are savage and cruel humanoid creatures with a barbaric culture centered around dominating and raiding the weak. The strongest troglodyte – regardless of gender – is always the leader of the local band.

Troglodytes appear to be bipedal, reptilian humanoids with pale-white to grey-brown scales.

They have a chameleonlike ability to blend into their surroundings. The most distinctive feature of a troglodyte it is odor. Trogs emits a powerful stench when angered or excited. This foul odor is used to incapacitate other living creatures; allowing the trogs to overcome their enemies easily.

Troglodytes are strict carnivores and have no qualms about eating the flesh of sentient creatures.
