Eye Ray (Su)

A retriever’s eyes can produce four different magical rays, each with a range of 100 feet.

Each round, it can fire one ray as a swift action. A particular ray is only usable once every 4 rounds. The eye ray effects are the following:

Cold: Deals 3d8+11C damage. Critical: staggered (Fort DC 18 negates)

Electricity: Deals 3d8+11E damage. Critical: arc 2d6.

Fire: Deals 3d8+11F damage. Critical: burn 2d6.

Petrification: target must succeed on a DC 18 Fortitude save or be affected as by the flesh to stone spell.

Relentless (Su)

A retriever is constantly under the effects of spider climb and surface stride (see Starfarer’s Companion); these abilities cannot be dispelled.

Retrievers are spider-shaped constructs from the demonic realm of the Abyss. This automaton is fashioned from the souls of the damned and serves as the errand-beast of powerful demon lords and demon princes. Retrievers have an unerring ability to find their designated target and possess a number of magical rays that enable it to deal with any threats in its path.
