Felines are cats of various size and appearance. They can range from the tiny domestic cat to the massive cave lions and smilodon. Cats are natural predators, using their claws and sharp fangs to hunt and kill prey.

Smilodon – also called sabre-tooth tigers – are giant predator cats far larger than their tiger cousins. They grow to be 12 feet long and weigh up to 6,000 pounds (600 bulk). Despite being referred to as “tigers,” these big cats actually have spotted fur patterns used to hide in dense underbrush.
